The Saniaccess 3 is a system that is used to install a complete bathroom up to 15 feet below the sewer line, or even up to 150 feet away from a soil stack, with gravity fall. The Saniaccess 3 can handle the effluent from a toilet, sink, bathtub, and/or shower.
The Saniaccess 3 incorporates an actual shredder blade system and is equipped with two service panels atop the unit which allows fast and easy access to the internal components, should sanitary items be accidentally flushed.
Note: In commercial installations, the plumbing code requires an elongated bowl.
The Saniaccess 3 is simplicity itself to install; there are just five connections:
The inside of the Saniaccess 3 comprises of a pressure chamber, which starts and stops the unit, and the motor, which drives the stainless steel cutting blade and the pump. When the flush is activated, the water flowing into the Saniaccess 3 activates a micro switch in the pressure chamber, which in turn starts the motor. The motor is sealed-for-life in an oil filled enclosure. A common spindle/shaft drives the impeller and the macerator blades. The moving parts therefore are kept to an absolute minimum. Water and organic waste matter enter the chamber and are reduced to slurry as the macerator blades rotate at 3600 RPM. The reduced solids are picked up at the bottom and the impeller mounted beneath the motor ejects the waste.
The unit is capable of pumping the effluent upward to 15 feet and/or 150 feet horizontally (with gravity fall). Once the water level in the container recedes, the micro switch deactivates. A normal operating cycle for the Saniaccess 3 takes about 10 - 15 seconds depending upon the discharge pipe run configuration.
In addition, the Saniaccess 3 will also discharge gray water from a variety of other sanitary fixtures such as: a sink, a bath/shower and urinal. When adding a bathtub/shower, a base will have to be constructed. This base should be made out of a 2” x 6” (minimum) or 2”x 8” (recommended) on edge, to allow for the installation of a P-trap and the required 1/4” per foot gravity flow towards the pump unit.
The wastewater from other sanitary fixtures is discharged into the Saniaccess 3 via two 2-inch inlets on either side of the housing. The discharge elbow on top of the Saniaccess 3 can be turned either to the left, to the right, or towards the back, depending on the discharge installation. A non-return valve, which comes already assembled on the discharge elbow, prevents back flow into the unit.
This unit has been designed with a vent connection on the lid. All plumbing codes require connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system must be a two-way air vent. The use of mechanical vents, air admittance valves or similar devices are not permitted as these are considered one-way air vent systems.
The Saniaccess 3 unit must be connected to our rear discharge toilet. This system uses much less water than a regular toilet as it only uses 1.28 USG (4.8 litres) of water per flush.
It is highly recommended for the macerator/pump to be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.
The Saniaccess 3 has been certified to American and Canadian Standards. Macerating standard; US: ASME A112.3.4, CA: Macerating Standard CSA B45.9.
All items may be purchased separately. However, the Saniaccess 3 works as a system and therefore a toilet bowl, toilet tank and the macerating unit need to be purchased. An optional extension pipe is available for the pump to be installed behind the wall. No toilet seat, cabinets, shower nor bathtub are included.
Round & Elongated Rear Discharge Toilets
Two style of toilets are available to purchase and install with your macerating unit.

Saniflo introduced this accessory in order to ease the installation as this new addition made it simpler to hide the pump behind any finished wall. This Extension Pipe is used with the Sanitop, Saniplus, Saniaccess 3 and Sanibest products.
The 18” extension pipe was designed with the idea to reduce time when installing our macerators. It has an inner gasket which connects to the rear spigot of the toilet without any difficulty. Its sealed connection keeps water from seeping out once the toilet is flushed.
Its ease of installation is the reason why installers recommend this accessory for any Saniflo installation. When using the extension pipe, the toilet bowl should be raised 3/8 inch for additional gravity flow toward the macerator box.
Regular descaling with specially formulated Saniflo descaler will prolong the unit's life and maintain optimum performance. It is specifically created for use with Saniflo products and laboratory formulated with phosphoric acid. Regular usage prolongs unit life and maintains efficiency and it is harmless to septic tank operation.
