The Sanicubic 1 is a pre-assembled heavy-duty 1HP - 115V simplex grinder pump that meets the demanding needs of commercial and residential sewage applications. The simplex-grinder system made of stainless steel liquefies solids into small particles prior to being passed through a 1-1/2” discharge pipe. It is designed to handle multiple waste fixtures for applications such as residential single or group homes, commercial buildings, schools and many more.
This system consists of one 1-HP motor housed inside a compact but highly durable plastic enclosure. The grinder has its own high-performance grinding system; which consists of a fast-rotating grinder blade to reduce solids in the wastewater stream from toilets, tubs and showers, sinks, washing machines, dishwashers, etc.
The Sanicubic 1 operation is as simple as the installation. The effluent enters the pump through one of four different inlets – one on either side of the unit at the bottom and two along the top. The inlets can accommodate 1-1/2” or 4” diameter pipes. As soon as the wastewater level reaches the trigger point, the pumping system activates. The effluent is then pumped out through 1 ½” diameter rigid pipe connected on the top of the pump. Maximum pumping distances are 36 ft vertically and/or 328 ft horizontally, with gravity fall.
The inside of the Sanicubic 1 comprises pressure switches and a circuit board assembly, which starts and stops the unit, and of the grinder motor, which drives the stainless steel grinder blade and the pump. The motor is sealed for life in an oil filled enclosure. A common spindle/shaft drives the impeller and the macerator blades. The moving parts therefore are kept to an absolute minimum. Water and organic waste matter that enter the enclosure are reduced to slurry and are picked up by the impeller mounted beneath the motor.
In the event of a failure or a problem with the unit, a visual alarm LED on the unit as well as a wired remote audible alarm is supplied with the system. The external wired remote alarm of the Sanicubic 1 does not require an independent power supply. It is powered via the circuit board of the Sanicubic 1. In the event of a power outage, a battery takes over.
Note that the effluent pipe leading into the pump has to be installed with the required ¼” per foot gravity flow towards the pump unit.
The wastewater from other sanitary fixtures is discharged into the Sanicubic 1 via four 1½-inch or 4” inlets, on either side of the housing and on the top of the enclosure. The internal discharge pipes come equipped with check valve that prevents back flow into the unit. Isolating valves (ball & gate valves supplied by others) must be installed on the waste inlets and on the discharge pipe to ensure that any service/maintenance may be carried out safely.
This unit has been designed with a 1-1/2” vent connection on the top of the enclosure. All plumbing codes require connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system should be a two-way air vent. The uses of mechanical vent, air admittance valve or similar device are not permitted as these are considered one-way air vent systems.
It is highly recommended that the Sanicubic 1 pump be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.
The Sanicubic 1 has been certified to American and Canadian Standards. Macerating standard; US: CSA Certified & IAPMO (UPC) listed - ASME A112.3.4, CA: Macerating Standard CSA B45.9.
The Sanicubic 1 is ordered as a single unit only. No other fixtures are included.
Regular descaling with specially formulated Saniflo descaler will prolong the unit's life and maintain optimum performance. It is specifically created for use with Saniflo products and laboratory formulated with phosphoric acid. Regular usage prolongs unit life and maintains efficiency and it is harmless to septic tank operation.
*** For this system, it requires at least two bottles of our Descaler to be used in order to have better effect on the system.
