SFA Group supports Planet Water Foundation on the occasion of World Water Day

Today, more than 2.2 billion people lack access to safe water. The United Nations estimates that global energy demand is projected to increase by over 25% and water demand is expected to increase by more than 50% by 2040, while at the same time, it is estimated that up to 5.7 billion people could be living in areas where water is scarce for at least one month a year by 2050. SFA Group, consistent with its signature «Shaking up water», is pleased to be associated with World Water Day 2021 by providing financial support for the action of the non-profit association Planet Water Foundation.
In fact, SFA Group announces a donation equivalent to the provision of 3 AquaHome systems deployed in Cambodia on 10 and 11 May. These systems will ensure a radical change in the lives of 3 rural Cambodian households, as each one will have access to clean and safe drinking water, as well as free and renewable electricity, since it will be of solar origin.
The final aspect of the action supported by SFA Group in Cambodia is that a hygiene education program focusing on daily life activities will be deployed to educate on life-saving behaviors such as drinking water storage techniques, how to protect oneself against the transmission of germs.
Using both rain and ground water source to purify it in three stages and make it available inside the homes, the AquaHomes offered by SFA Group also make it possible to produce and provide a base for self-consumption of electricity for households. Indeed, the 100-watt solar power system includes two photovoltaic panels, solar controller, long-life lithium battery, and all required power cables and connectors that are particularly easy to operate and maintain. Note that the AquaHome also comes with a domestic lighting system (5 high-performance LED lights) and USB electrical connections for recharging small appliances (radio, flashlight, mobile phone).
